  • This programme has started and is very popular. In April we have heard from Bawren Tavaziva – sharing his experience of growing up a Zimbabwe township and coming to England for the first time and experiencing snow! And how he used his Africa influence as a stimulus for his work and signature movement. This was followed by a CPD where attendees learnt about Bawren’s practise. In May we heard from brand guru Rob Macpherson, his entry into the world of consultancy and his top tips and some tools on how to start thinking about your brand.

Next up will be:

  • Zoie Logic – Focusing on getting Boys into Dance & her work in communities

o   Breakfast Briefing 8 June & CPD session 30 June IN PERSON

  • Lucy McCrudden – Online Entrepreneur – talks about her inspiration that led to ‘Dance Mama’

o   Breakfast Briefing 6 July & CPD session 13 July ONLINE

Details for August & beyond to be shared soon and will include:

  • Amina Khayyam – gives an insight into her work with isolated communities and how she tackles difficult subject areas; her work has featured acid throwing, childlessness and recently domestic violence.

We have just started our monthly Breakfast Briefings which are free to members and give an insight into different experts within the industry including choreographers, brand guru’s, online entrepreneurs to name a few.

Jeff Bezos quote

.. I can communicate better my core values…

On Tuesday Rob gave an insight into his world of brand along with his motivation to join the freelance community and start his own Company called Impakt Consultancy during Dance Woking’s second Breakfast Briefing*

Attending the Breakfast Briefing with Rob Macpherson has already stimulated many new thoughts and ideas around how I can communicate better my core values and connect more originally with my audiences. Looking forward to going deeper into this next week’ Katie, Dance Surrey PRO member

Join branding guru Rob Macpherson from Impakt Consultancy for an inspirational 90-minute session featuring some top tips and practical tools to help you improve your brand.

Rob will introduce some brand concepts with examples from the arts and commerce, plus some practical exercises you can start before taking back and sharing with your teams. This can help you earn, raise and save money.

Many arts organisations under-appreciate the importance of brand in their audience communications and stakeholder planning (in marketing terms, some can be the least convincing story-tellers). Yet we are all targeted daily with persuasive and action-oriented brand messaging which has hugely impactful benefits for charities and businesses. In this session.

Breakfast Briefing* These are part of a 12 month programme to help support and build a thriving and sustainable dance community in Woking & Surrey. A key aim of ours is to form a better-networked community to help increase communication flow, partnership working and collaboration.
