Expressions of Interest open for Innovate 2019

It’s that time of year and we are once again looking for local dance groups who would like to perform at our Contemporary Community Platform INNOVATE on Saturday 23 November 2019 at Rhoda McGaw Theatre, Woking.

Groups must be working mainly in Contemporary dance, all ages and abilities are welcome. Please note that NEW for 2019 is a registration fee of £35.00.

For your chance to take part, please complete the attached form and return it to us as soon as possible, and by Monday 23 September.

Key dates to note:

Monday 23 September:       Application deadline

Monday 7 October:             Confirmation of groups

Friday 21 October:              Last date to SEND lighting requirements, music and programme notes

Saturday 23 November:      Technical runs will take place from 9.00am; platform starts at 7.00pm

Registration Fee:                 This applies to all groups and will be used to help cover administration     costs. £35.00/group

Dance Woking welcomes Ellie

Dance Woking is pleased to welcome Ellie Dowling to the team as Projects Coordinator.

Following an extensive performing career, Ellie has worked for numerous
dance organisations both as an arts practitioner and co-ordinator. Her credits include Vincent Dance Theatre, PunchDrunk Productions, Jean Abreu Dance and Welsh National Opera, as an administrator she has co-ordinated projects for The Place, DLMArts and various Schools Sports Partnerships.

In addition, Ellie developed and runs her own Dance in Education company Enerjetix which she continues to manage.

Ellie has worked as a freelance dance specialist for many years and has delivered
various projects for Dance Woking over the last 12 months including What if Solar science led by Alexander Whitley Dance Company and Dance Woking’s Summer Shorts outreach programme including Carnival parades  at Encounters & Party in the Park.
