Dance Teachers
up to £30.00 per hour
Freelance

Dance Woking is looking for experienced dance teachers and community practitioners to join our outreach team on a freelance basis. The focus for this work will be to join the delivery team, working in schools and in the local community for Summer 2024 where you will be responsible for teaching groups who may or may not have dance experience.

We would also like to hear from dance Practitioners who have experience of leading maypole Dancing workshops. On event days, day rates will apply.

You will need to ensure that all students are engaged, motivated, and inspired through dance to build their self-esteem and confidence.

You will be expected to have a minimum of 12 months proven teaching experience with young people, in addition to a professional dance background or training.

Dance Woking delivers a variety of different projects across Woking & Surrey that includes a variety of dance styles, and participants with a range of ages and abilities from 5 – 17 years.

Event Assistants

Dance Woking is looking for Event Assistants to support a series of Outdoor Events this summer. The focus for this work will be to assist the lead Dance Artists on the day where you will be assisting in different elements of the programme on the day.

If you are passionate about the arts and entertainment and/or are currently studying in contemporary creative/dance we would love to hear from you. You will need to be over 16 years old. Dance Woking is looking for holiday club dance assistants to join us on a part-time basis to support our Summer programme of activities. The focus for this work will be to join our experienced delivery team, working in the local community where you will be responsible for assisting in all elements of the programme.

Trustees

Dance Woking is seeking new Trustees to join its Board. Interested in a new opportunity to lead and influence a dance charity?  

It’s a challenging time for Dance Woking as we develop and create a new strategic direction following changes in funding. We are looking for new trustees to support the organisation as we change and adapt to meet the changing needs within the community and environment.   We are seeking candidates with experienced in fundraising, corporate social responsibility, environmental, health, financial management, social media, marketing, education, entrepreneurial enterprises, IT, legal, the local community. We particularly welcome candidates from a range of backgrounds to help to progress our aim to become a fully inclusive and diverse organisation.

Dance Woking, is looking for committed individuals who can bring their expertise to this vibrant, agile and versatile organisation. The Trustee role requires you to attend to four board meetings per year, as well as provide strategic support and enthusiastic advocacy.

Meetings usually take place early evening and are currently online. Board members will be expected to offer time and expertise outside of board meetings as relevant to their area of specialism. Board members will be invited to Dance Woking events throughout the year, although it is not expected that board members attend all these events.

Board members will be asked to serve on the board of Trustees of Dance Woking for a minimum term of 3 years where possible.
