LAKEVIEW COMMUNITY FUN DAY

Dance Woking is pleased to be joining with Lakeview Community Action Group to bring an exciting & fun dance element to the fun day. 2024 sees Dance Woking celebrate 30 years of dance related activities in Woking and we are pleased to be back.

Saturday 13 July11am – 4pm

Lakeview Community Centre & Hartshill Walk Green GU21 3AG

Come & enjoy the fun with Live Music, Community Dance Platforms, Maypole Dancing, face painting, Bouncy castle, BBQ, Food & drink stalls, plus lots more

Taking part in the community dance platform:

Bellytricks Belly Dance, Alexandra Dance Company, Amala Belly Dance, Cremona School of Dance, and Beaufort Primary School

Community Dance Platforms: 11.45am & 1.45pm

Followed by Maypole Dancing, no experience required! 12noon & 2pm

Alongside the dancing there will be music from the Salvation Army Band, Graham Kirby-Smith (and friends), Ed Butler and Global Grooves with an opportunity to have a go at drumming.

Hunky Dory Summer Holiday Club

Dance Woking is thrilled to be able to offer a Summer club in collaboration with Club4. This summer we will be using different Musical Theatres from the West as our theme.

And this time we will be hosting a 2 day & one 3 day club at 2 different venues!

The Maybury Centre, Board School Road, Woking, GU21 5HD

The Hunky Dory Summer Club will run from 22nd July – 25 July (Mon to Tues & Wed to Thurs) And Mon 29 to Wed 31 July

Suitable for children aged 8 to 11 years; 9.30am – 2.30pm each day

A2 Building, St Andrews Church, Goldsworth Park, Denton Way, Woking GU21 3LS

Wed 24 July to Thus 25 July and Mon 29 July to Tues 30 July

Suitable for children aged 8 to 11 years; 9.30am – 2.30pm each day

There will be creative dance activity and art & craft, plus a food demonstration each week, during one of the 4 days. The focus is on you having a fun, active and creative week, where we hope you will build new friendships. No dance experience required! Our aim is to inspire every child to try new activities and to learn new skills in a safe, fun and disciplined environment.

A lunch will be provided, options, include vegetarian.

The Summer Club is suitable for children in Primary School Year 4 to Year 6 (8 to 11 year olds). Registration starts each day from 9.30*, with a jam packed day of activities until 2.30pm. *

At Dance Woking we believe in creating active and engaging opportunities to inspire the younger generation. Our Hunky Dory Summer Club aims to promote health and well being whilst also allowing children to find new ways of expressing themselves. Our highly qualified and experienced team will lead a range of creative activities including daily dance sessions and arts and crafts activities.
