Lucy Field, Chair of Dance Woking, at this years Party in the Park on Saturday 9 July’s record breaking attendance commented ‘Dance Woking were absolutely thrilled at the number of people that enjoyed Party in the Park this year. People were queuing up for our Encounters dance taster-workshop tent, having been inspired by community and professional groups performing throughout the day. The event is always a focus in our calendar, as we really enjoy uniting the community through the diversity of dance styles that Woking has to offer its community – a highlight for me was Burt Roman’s Move Me workshops, and his sublime ability to get everyone dancing!’
Dance Woking would like to thank all the community groups who took part on the day in the Dance Woking showcases on the Main Stage and Encounters Stage, with over 300 dancers on site, this was a great opportunity to highlight what an eclectic dance offer Woking has to offer.
