JUSTICE IN MOTION is a physical theatre company founded in 2013 by Artistic Director Anja Meinhardt. It is dedicated to raising awareness about social injustice through entertaining and thought-provoking performances, workshops, classes and talks run in conjunction with relevant partner organisations.

Using a combination of movement, theatre, music, aerial acrobatics, dance, spoken word and projection they create spectacular performances that captivate and encourage debate.

The Team leading the February Half Term project are:

Anja Meinhardt – Artistic Director Born in Germany, Anja originally started her training in musical theatre in Vienna where she graduated in 2006. During her time there, she performed at various theatres and toured with MOKI, a children’s theatre company throughout Austria.

Anja has trained amongst others with David Glass, Amit Lahav and Hofesh Shechter. She further developed skills in capoeira and aerial dance (multiple apparatus), which are now an integral part to her practice.

George Mayfield – Performer George has over 14 years experience in Parkour, being one of the early adopters when the sport landed in the UK from France. Seeing the sport as an expression of optimism within an urban landscape, George has travelled the world meeting parkour communities and building positive relationships, as well as performing in film, commercials and live events. He is also a member of the cliff diving collective DIVERT, who aim to encourage people to seek out adventures in nature through creating cliff diving content.
