On the night there will be a curtain raiser performed by FuzzyLogic followed by Dad Dacing presented by Second Hand Dance. Their piece is a contemporary dance that reflects on growing up into a daughter and growing up into a dad. Created and choreographed by Rosie Heafford, Alexandrina Hemsley and Helena Webb and performed alongside and in collaboration with their dads Adrian, David and Andy. The project uses dance movement, humour and storytelling to explore father-child relationships.
To close the show is a piece that is being performed by local 12-19 year olds and two professional dancers named Luke and Ash, this piece is called Stolen Wishes. It is a brand new dance piece featuring a revolving set of 4 ladders by ZoieLogic Dance Theatre. Zoie's work is submerged in theatricality and explosive contact, embraced by intuitive performers and crafted with an intricate movement language.
