For those who enjoy the urban dance scene, Woking SLAM is a community led dance platform that showcases performances using urban dance styles such as street, hip hop, breakin to body popping.

Featuring some of the best groups in woking and Surrey this platform highlights the depth and breadth of this movement style.

We are delighted to announce guest group BDblaq Dance will be performing SENSE

“It’s a moment of pure enjoyment for both performer and audience” – Siobhan Murphy

SENSE is a narrative piece exploring how powerful the human sense become in a person who is blind.
It is supposed that the remaining senses are heightened in the absence of vision; for example,
the awareness of sound becomes heightened. With music by Jean Pierre and inspired by stories from
the Royal National Institute of Blind People. BDblaq Dance use a fusion of tap and contemporary
dance to provoke a raw emotional connection with an audience.
